Proenza Schouler
Proenza Schouler is a New York-based clothing and accessories brand created by Jack McCoullough and Lazaro Hernandez. The duo met during their studies at Parsons School of Design. There, they created their first Proenza Schouler collection in 2002 as part of their thesis project. The brand is named after the designers' mothers, using their maiden names combined. The collection was picked up by Barneys New York, and since then, Proenza Schouler has had a significant impact on American fashion.
The collections are defined by a sense of detail mixed with refined simplicity. The duo won their first award in 2004, the Vogue Fashion Fund award. Since then, they have received several prestigious awards. Proenza Schouler has two stores in their hometown of New York but is also sold in the most exclusive stores around the world.
